Player evaluations

Brennan Binns 2023

Binns is a small guard but what he lacks in height he has in heart. Binns hustle, dove for loose balls and was extremely scrappy on defensively. Binns displayed his shooting ability knocking down open shots with his feet ready and set once the ball is kicked out to him. We would like to see Binns get stronger with the ball but the Montgomery Catholic prospect has a bright future ahead of him.

Caleb White 2024

White has a well put together overall game. With good size for his age, he is strong enough to get to the basket and finish with contact and skilled enough to score at the second or third level. White’s ability to knock down the three ball consistently was extremely impressive to Icon’s Sport staff as well as outside media outlets. As White continues to grow and become more vocal on the floor, he should blossom into a nice recruitable prospect.

Adrian Wooley 2024

Wooley is one of the more skilled 2024 guards in the state of Alabama. Wooley is not new to Icons Sport staff; Wooley is a long left-handed point guard that can flat out score the ball. Wooley displayed his ability to play off the ball and still found ways to score. As Wooley grows physically, he will be a name that will buzz around his state.

Brandon Hunter 2025

Hunter has good anticipation defensively and looks to force a turnover every position. With a high motor and high energy, it is rare that he is not moving on the floor. Hunter must work on knocking down open shots consistently.

Desmond Williams 2025

Williams seems to puts himself in the best situations to be successful on the floor. He does not over dribble in tight situations and is fundamentally sound. He must become a floor general and learn to control the game and get everyone involved.

Joshua Davis 2025

Davis is quick and small guard, Davis proved himself as a good passer. He is also a good defender and understands how to move his feet. He has a good rotation on his shot. He understands head fakes and penetrates.

Tommy Tisdale III 2024

Tisadale is one of the more skilled players in his class in Alabama, Tisdale started for his JV team as a 7th grader leading them in scoring and even got some varsity action. Tisdale has great size for his position and once his athleticism kicks in he will be highly recruited.

TJ Buttone 2024

Buttone a combo guard showed flashes during camp with his shooting ability and making plays on the defensive end. Buttone has a solid stroke, once he grows, and fills out he will be one of the better offensive players in his class.

Ddwayne James 2023

James is a tough-minded slasher who can attack the rim. He should look to attack the paint more at times but is always active on the floor. He is mobile and can affect the game on the defensive end can create havoc at times with pressure. He is a good rebounder who can make good plays in transition.

Samuel Harris III 2025

Harris displayed a great attitude for the entirety of the camp. He was going full speed in every drill station and improved. He can get to the lane and draw contact to get easy points at the free throw line. He must become stronger and become more of a floor general.

Jaylen Sellers 2024

Sellers is a rangy guard who can shine as a great shooter and a big time hustler. He has a quick release from three. Sellers did not force the action. He doubled as a combo guard. Good end-to-end speed. Kicked out to shooter with good passes.

Joe Wimberly 2024

Wimberly showed he could be an excellent floor general and control the game and pace. He controls tempo and is a great on ball defender 94 ft. up the floor. He need to be more vocal on the floor communicating with teammates.
